HOW TO GET TO BALLYMORE!

Few major sporting grounds are as centrally located as Ballymore. The international rugby/ soccer ground is situated three kilometres from Brisbane's CBD in Herston, easily accessible from all areas in Brisbane by car or public transport. With changes to traffic control outside the ground, the best way to arrive at Ballymore is by bus or taxi.
How to get to Ballymore
Arriving by Car : Coming from the northern suburbs via Bowen Bridge Road, take Herston Road or Butterfield Street at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. From Kelvin Grove Road, take Lorimer Terrace and L'Estrange Terrace or Herston Road.Coming from the western or southern suburbs, the only access will be via Herston, Scott and Clyde Road.
Car Access: Butterfield Street near the ground (from Fagan Road) will be closed to all private vehicles.Franklin, Ballymore, Picot, Dunsmore and Ricardo streets will be no parking zones on match days.Dunsmore Street will also be closed off at the Clyde Road intersection.
Parking
Parking : Parking is available at the Metro Parking station on Butterfield Street, just off Bowen Bridge Road. A free shuttle bus service leaves from this car park every 15 minutes for major matches only. Due to restricted street parking in the surrounding area and limited parking at Ballymore, we suggest making use of the bus shuttle service. Limited parking is available within the Ballymore complex. Enter via Clyde Road, or Gould Road (off Butterfield Street). The cost of parking inside Ballymore is $15.00 and is subject to availability.
Season Car Park Passes: If you hold a season car park pass which is denoted as a Clyde Road entrance pass, entry to Ballymore is only available at Clyde Road. You will not be permitted entry at Gould Road.If you hold a season car park pass which is denoted as a Gould Road entrance pass, entry to Ballymore is only available at Gould Road. You will not be permitted entry at Clyde Road.
Public Transport
Bus : On major match days, bus shuttles operate a regular return service from the city and a number of rugby clubhouses. The departure locations are as follows:Ann Street, City (outside Anzac Square and King George Square)The Rugby Club Downtown (Eagle Street)The Gap Shopping CentreUniversity, Brothers, Wests, Sunnybank and Easts Rugby Clubs.For further information please call the Transport Info Line: 13 12 30.
Train : The Wilston Railway Station in Newmarket Road is less than a kilometre from the Noble Street footbridge over Enoggera Creek to Gould Road and Ballymore. For further information please call the Transport Info Line: 13 12 30.
Taxis : Taxis are available from within the Ballymore venue and the taxi rank is located on Butterfield Street. Although Butterfield Street near the ground is closed to all private vehicles, taxis are permitted to enter Butterfield Street from Aberleigh Road. This is designed to speed up the entry of taxis to the ground. We strongly suggest you advise your taxi driver to use Herston Road and turn into Aberleigh Road. |
